The purchase is the result of Protan AS’s desire to strengthen its position in the central region of Østland, particularly within the sanitary sector, in which Torgersen & Høgseth holds a leading position. Torgersen & Høgseth has worked with roof and membrane systems since 1984 and currently employs a staff of seven. Turnover in 2008 was 8.4 million crowns. Protan’s primary objective with this acquisition is to focus on the sanitary sector within the region and strengthen both its competency in this field as well as resources within the company.
