It’s now official: Protan SE has been granted a Technical Approval (TGA 2024/010) by ETA Denmark with a documented service life of at least 50 years. As far as we know, we are the first in the industry to achieve this for a PVC-based roofing membrane.

In the official technical approval (TGA 2024/010), ETA Denmark concludes:
"The single-layer roofing system consisting of Protan SE, when correctly installed, has a service life of at least 50 years."

The documented service life applies to the membrane material itself. As always, the total service life of a roof depends on correct installation – including details such as penetrations, overlaps, and terminations.
