Three sources today
Production offcuts and surplus materials from Protan and other manufacturers, as well as membranes removed from existing roofs.
Guaranteed take-back
All Protan membranes sold since August 2024 are covered by our take-back commitment. We also collect installation offcuts and waste.
Back into new membranes
Recovered PVC is recycled and used directly in new membranes at our production facilities in Norway and Poland.
Designed for recovery
Mechanical fastening helps ensure that membranes can be removed and returned as clean material.
Quality without compromise
Contaminants are managed within the recycling process, allowing recycled content to increase without compromising performance, quality or documentation.
