Mørch joins Protan from NG Nordic (formerly Norsk Gjenvinning), a leading Nordic provider of circular solutions and environmental services. With over a decade of executive leadership experience, he brings a strong industrial background and deep commitment to sustainability, innovation, and international growth.

“The board has conducted a thorough and comprehensive recruitment process. Our priority was to find a leader who could continue to develop Protan’s strong position in Norway and internationally. Thomas stood out with his experience, leadership qualities, and values. We are confident he is the right person to lead Protan into the future,” says Lars I. Røiri, Chairman of the Board of Protan Group.

At NG Nordic, Mørch held several key roles since 2013, including six years as part of the executive management team and most recently as CEO of Zirq Solutions. He led numerous strategic initiatives, particularly within sustainability and circularity—areas that are also central to Protan’s long-term strategy.

“I’m impressed by how Protan has developed innovative, high-quality solutions over several decades and built a strong presence in the Nordics and beyond. This reflects the dedication and expertise of its employees. I look forward to becoming part of the team and contributing to further growth, profitability, and sustainable impact,” says Thomas Mørch.

Until Mørch assumes his new role, Roar Lunde will continue as interim CEO. Protan extends it’s sincere thanks to Roar for his valuable contribution and steady leadership during the transition period.

As a global leader in innovative and sustainable waterproofing solutions, Protan is committed to Futureproofing Waterproofing—developing products and services that extend the life of buildings and infrastructure while minimizing environmental impact. The company’s employee value proposition, Part of something bigger, reflects its dedication to meaningful work, shared goals, and long-term responsibility.

With wholly owned operations in ten countries and roots going back to 1939, Protan looks forward to continuing its growth journey under Mørch’s leadership.
