From 8 October 2026, Protan Entreprenør is a separate company with its own board and management. Protan AS continues as before, with the same products, the same quality and the same standards.
The shares in Protan Entreprenør have been sold to a new holding company, effective 8 October 2026. The ultimate owners are unchanged: the Ameln family through Moelsa. Vidar Grindal leads Protan Entreprenør, and Morten Ameln is Chair of the Board.
Protan AS and Protan Entreprenør are two different businesses. Protan AS drives global innovation with fewer, larger customers. Protan Entreprenør delivers locally, with many smaller customers and short decision paths. With two companies, each gets the room it needs.
What has happened?
The shares in Protan Entreprenør have been sold to a new holding company, effective 8 October 2026. Protan Entreprenør now has its own board and management.

Does this change anything for Protan AS?
No, not in day-to-day business. Protan AS is the same company as before, and agreements, deliveries and warranties apply as they did.
Why has Protan Entreprenør become a separate company?
Protan AS and Protan Entreprenør have different customers and different needs. Protan AS works globally with innovation, while Protan Entreprenør delivers locally with short decision paths. With two companies, each gets the room it needs.
Do I need to sign new agreements or take any action?
As a rule, no. This is a transfer of shares, and the companies are the same legal entities as before. Your agreements therefore apply as before. If you have questions about your specific agreement, please contact your usual contact person at Protan AS.
Will this affect the quality of products and deliveries?
No. Protan AS's safety and quality standards, and the company's certifications, remain in place.
Is Protan AS still connected to Protan Entreprenør?
The two companies now have separate boards, but continue to cooperate through framework agreements.
What are the financial terms of the sale?
Financial terms are not disclosed.
What about the employees?
Employees have been informed directly by management. We do not comment externally on individual questions about employees.
