Protan is proud to be involved in the major Brenner Base Tunnel project - construction lot H53, with our Ventiflex ventilation system.
The Brenner Base Tunnel company BBT SE awarded the contract for the construction lot "H53 Pfons-Brenner" to the consortium consisting of Porr Bau GmbH, Marti GmbH Austria and Marti Tunnel AG Switzerland on 4 April 2023, after a comprehensive tender review.
With this award, the tunnelling work for the last remaining construction lot of the Brenner Base Tunnel has now also been commissioned. The award amount for what is now the largest construction lot on Austrian project territory is 959 million euros. The construction period for this section of the tunnel is scheduled to last 70.5 months.
The "H53 Pfons-Brenner" construction lot comprises 25.2 km of main tunnels, which will be driven between the municipal area of Pfons and the national border at the Brenner Pass.
