Balconies and terraces are especially vulnerable to wear from heavy rain and snowfall. This is why a sound and durable solution, which ensures waterproof terraces and needs minimal maintenance, appeals to private individuals, co-owners and housing associations.
Protan terrace membranes and roofing are made for outdoor use in a Scandinavian climate. They are of high quality, have a long lifespan and ensure a waterproof terrace deck.
If you are a private individual wanting to have a Protan terrace membrane installed, we advise you to contact a roofing contractor within our large international network. They will come to your premises and install a cover or membrane in the same way as they do for ordinary roofing. Protan terrace membranes are welded with hot air, which is an environmentally friendly and emissions-free method.
We supply solutions both for exposed and covered terrace membranes. An exposed terrace membrane is used as a floor membrane outside. Various materials, such as tiles, slabs or terrace planks can be placed on membrane coverings used for terrace or verandah floors.
We have three different products that ensure waterproof verandah floors and balconies. All three satisfy fire class BROOF (t2) requirements for the substrate on which they are installed, in accordance with guidelines in Norway and Scandinavia.
Protan products have among the lowest carbon footprints in the category of roofing materials. Here you can browse our products by category or application area.
