Protan supplies membranes for NorLense's high-pressure inflatable tents. For many years, NorLense's tents have accommodated military, humanitarian and emergency response organisations all over the world.

A 200,000-litre tank is to be filled with tropical king prawns in a disused prawn reception at the port in Sirevåg on Jæren. The concrete tank is more like a swimming pool than a breeding tank, both in size and shape, and is lined internally with Protan 724 BlueSafe™.

On Lille Indre Rosøy, Gigante Salmon is establishing three breeding pools that are designed as longitudinal flow vessels. With the help of water pumping and current setters, which set the water in motion and separation cloths from Protan, optimal flow of fresh, new seawater is ensured throughout production. The speed of the current can be regulated so that the salmon gets as much countercurrent as it is comfortable with.

Approximately 250 km from Hammerfest lies the Johan Castberg oil and gas field. Here, a special vessel for production and storage, filled with Norwegian-developed technology, has been constructed to aid in the extraction of oil and gas from this field.
